At the 31st European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) meeting today, an international Phase III (Study NO16966) clinical trial showed that combination chemotherapy Xelox (Xeloda or capecitabine, made by Roche + oxaliplatin, made by sanofi-aventis) was as effective as FOLFOX-4 (infused 5-FU/leucovorin + oxaliplatin) in progression-free survival (PFS) in metastatic colorectal cancer patients.
